You might be wondering who and what is Espo. If so, we're very grateful for your interest and we would love for you to be a part of our journey.
We are a tech start-up based in London with a vision to bring esports fans to the heart of the action alongside their favorite idols. To do this, we are developing an innovative fan engagement platform for the esports community, launching in September 2020.
Prior to us exiting 'stealth mode' in June, we carried out interviews with hundreds of esports fans from around the world to ask them questions about their esports fan experience. We asked a number of questions including:
From the very beginning of our journey, we have wanted to build a community-driven company that goes the extra mile to enhance fan experience. With this approach, we have been able to develop a fan engagement platform for esports fans, which has been designed step by step around the requests and feedback of esports fans.
We are a tech start-up based in London with a vision to bring esports fans to the heart of the action alongside their favorite idols.
Our findings from these interviews with fans resulted in the coming together of a secret concept for a first-of-its-kind platform – a platform which would be prioritized on rewarding collaboration between world-class esports teams, players, fans and sponsors.
Realizing early on that our platform would also require the presence and participation of top players, teams and sponsors, we interviewed these key parties as well. In order to more deeply appreciate their mindset and priorities, we wanted to listen to their individual perspectives and better understand the challenges they face in the big wide world of esports.
The insights we gathered from fans, players, teams and sponsors were invaluable to us and we spent a considerable amount of time studying this information. After all, we felt that we could only truly create an impactful fan engagement platform for the esports community if it was capable of addressing the needs and challenges of each of these parties.
We are currently at a very exciting stage of our development and bringing Espo to you!

This summer we are doing several things in the run up to the launch of the platform in September. We are securing Team Partnerships, creating our community with generous opportunities for members to receive Espo loyalty points for the platform and we are working with sponsors to offer them unique commercial opportunities with us and our Team Partners.
It's definitely going to be an action-packed summer for us, but we honestly couldn't think of a better way to be spending it! In our opinion, esports is in a very interesting and promising period of its evolution. Not only is esports expanding on several fronts, it's also innovating with the emergence of creative and interconnected solutions, which will play a fundamental role in driving value and sustainable growth across all corners of the esports community.
